Drs. Xian-He Sun and Anthony Kougkas have received a $4 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the project, "ChronoLog: A High-Performance Storage Infrastructure for Activity and Log Workloads." The award is expected to be $4 million over four years. Illinois Tech was awarded $2.7 million of the grant and the University of Chicago was awarded $1.3 million of the grant.

Dr. Xian-He Sun has received a $3 Million NSF Framework Grant for the project, "Framework: Software: NSCI: Collaborative Research: Hermes: Extending the HDF Library to Support Intelligent I/O Buffering for Deep Memory and Storage Hierarchy Systems."
