Memory Server
Summary
This patent treats memory access as a service provided to client processors rather than as passive storage. It introduces a dedicated "Memory Server", which could be a separate processor core or a network node, equipped with a prefetch engine, memory management engine, and data propeller.
Instead of the main processor spending cycles managing memory, the Memory Server predicts what data the application will need and "pushes" that data directly into the processor's fast cache beforehand. This removes data management work from the client processor.

Technical Abstract
A memory server provides data access as a service to clients and has a memory service architecture and components for removing data management burdens from the client processor and providing increased speed and utility for the client through aggressive prediction of client memory requirements and fast provision of data. The architecture handles data fetching and prefetching out-of-band so that the core processing unit can be completely dedicated to computational tasks.
